The MPGA (Masters Program in Game Art) is a 30-month, 1200-hour intensive master-level programme. The B.Sc. in Game Art is a 36-month university-backed degree (3750 hours) that covers broader academic subjects and leads to a formal degree certificate. The MPGA is a focused, industry-first programme with a faster entry into professional game art roles — ideal for those who want depth without the full degree structure. Both include AI integration and MESC alignment.
The MPGA is ideal for students who have passed 10th or 12th standard and have a strong interest in game art, character design, environment art, or game engine work. No prior 3D experience is required — the Foundation phase starts from the very basics. It’s also a great option for working professionals looking to upskill into the gaming industry.
The MPGA integrates AI tools across all three phases. In the Foundation phase you’ll learn Prompting Aesthetics, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini AI for concept ideation and reference generation. In the Intermediate phase you’ll work with Leonardo AI for image generation and Kling AI for motion concept work. These tools are taught as productivity accelerators alongside traditional pipeline skills.
Yes. The third phase — Master + Portfolio Development — is built around a Capstone Project where you create and deploy a complete game-ready asset pack or short demo using Unreal Engine or Unity. This project becomes the centrepiece of your professional portfolio, which is refined under faculty mentorship and industry preparation sessions.
A small number of topics in the Master + Portfolio Development phase (Phase 3) will be covered online. The majority of the programme is conducted in person at the Frameboxx Malad centre with hands-on lab access. Online sessions are structured and guided — not self-study.
You will receive the Frameboxx Certificate of Completion for the MPGA programme, a MESC-aligned industry certificate (QPNOs: MES/Q0502, Q0504, Q0510, Q0701, Q2501–Q2503), and individual software proficiency certificates. These credentials are recognised by game studios, animation houses, and media companies across India.
